− | Team Glacier, a faction headed by the enigmatic Lady Kyra and bent on the conquest of our planet, hails from a world not unlike our own. Team Glacier's Earth, or G-Earth as it has been coined by the researchers of S.V.R.I. has been thought to be of an alternate timeline all together.
| |
− | The history of G-Earth was seemingly identical to that of ours up until the Ghetsis and Team Plasma's second attempt at conquering the Unova Region. At the Showdown at the Giant Chasm, Team Plasma, using the power of Black Kyurem, defeated their opposition and started a chain of events that would forever shape the planet.

− | Following their victory at the Giant Chasm, Ghetsis turned his focus on consolidating Team Plasma's power by approaching members of Ex-Team Plasma, and offered them an ultimatum: return, or be destroyed. Most former members were more than willing to rejoin with Team Plasma's major opposition beaten. Others returned out of fear of Ghetsis' merciless wrath. With their ranks effectively bolstered, Team Plasma accelerated their bid to control Unova starting with an aggressive campaign in the north region. Using Black Kyurem as the tip of the spear, Team Plasma moved to cover the cities of Lacunosa and Icirrus. Having already previously left Opelucid City a frozen waste, Team Plasma had effectively isolated the Unova League from the rest of the region and could take over the remain cities at their leisure.

− | Using a basic pincer formation with Black Kyurem located in Icirrus City, and the Plasma Frigate as well as the august body of Plasma Forces in Lacunosa City, Ghetsis moved to forcibly relieve trainers of their pokemon in a precision strike that would converge in Nimbasa City. Area authorities, defensive teams, as well as the region's Gym Leaders gathered at Nimbasa for what they expected to be the battle that would decide the fate of Unova. Momentum and advantageous positioning led to a lengthy yet effective victory for Team Plasma as they easily crushed the Nimbasa defensive.

− | Numerous prisoners were taken following the invasion, famous among them were the gym leaders Skyla, Clay, and Cheren. The rest, who were able to escape the arctic onslaught fell back to Castelia City to regroup as Ghetsis moved to complete his conquest of Unova by finalizing his destruction of the League. Though, before he could this, he would have to remove another thorn in his side, his "son", N. Unfortunately, N had fled directly following the events at the Giant Chasm. Team Plasma's spies had spotted a pokemon resembling N's Reshiram in the forests around Anville Town. Knowing that neither N nor Reshiram would go down without a fight, Ghetsis saw this as an opportunity to truly test Black Kyurem's strength against a worthy foe. Bringing only Black Kyurem, Ghetsis moved against his son, engaging in a battle that threaten to destroy the region that the pokemon involved had created. After a tiresome, drawn-out battle, Black Kyurem gained the upper-hand and simply wore N and Reshiram down to the point of defeat. N was taken prisoner aboard the Frigate and Reshiram was brought under Team Plasma's control.

− | Finding it more practical to spread their powers, Ghetsis separated Zekrom and Kyurem in order to bring the full power of the Tao Trio on the Unova League, which was still besieged by ice. On the day of the final invasion, Team Plasma brought the full force of Reshiram, Zekrom, and Kyurem down upon the League. Not even the Elite Four and the Champion could stand up against the combined wrath of the trio led by Team Plasma and, the League fell prisoner to Ghetsis' mechanations. With the governing body of Unova now under Team Plasma's control, the rest of the region easily followed. The gym leaders and trainers, who had taken refuge in the Castelia Sewers, now realized that Team Plasma was too powerful at this point, and the wisest decision would be to live to fight another day. Agreeing to reconvene once they had amassed a sizable resistance, the remaining leaders left port under cover of night. Approximately one and a half years following the Battle of the Giant Chasm, Unova was completely under Team Plasma's control.

− | Some short following their conquest of the Unova Region, Ghetsis began to devise a plan to fully realize his ambitions of world conquest. He would start with the Hoenn Region, stating that its remote location and easily assailable eastern ocean would make its conquest all too easy.
| |
− | It was at this point, one of his behind-the-scenes advisors, a woman by the name of Kyra, suggested that there was a much easier way to assure total victory that didn't involve such conflict. As the rest of the pokemon world was already on edge and fortifying for Team Plasma's invasion, the one thing they it would readily accept is a hero. Kyra offered to provide one. Secretly taking a few squads of Team Plasma's best soldiers under her direct command, Kyra formed the supposed the antithesis to Ghetsis's violent reign, poetically naming it Team Sunrise.

− | While the world sat fearful and watched as Team Sunrise "fought" the war against Ghetsis, he used the global distraction to send members of Team Plasma's Elite Obsidian Force around the globe in an attempt to forcibly capture legendary pokemon for the next part of his plan. It did not take long for Team Sunrise's exploits to garner the attention of trainers worldwide as many offered to join their ranks and take the fight tto Team Plasma
