Mechanically, the Bond stat is raised by 1 on a Pokemon for winning a battle in which it participated. All Pokemon in the party (and the current fusion, if applicable) gain 1 Bond for every valid tick of RP. In either case, a Pokemon of the trainer's favorite type will gain an additional point of Bond whenever a point is granted. Being fused gives an additional bonus of 1 point on the fusion.

Fusions have a 10% boost to Attack, Defense, Special Attack, Special Defense, and Speed over the Pokemon's original form.

The level of a fusion is dependent on Fighter XP (FXP). This is effectively the trainer's experience as a Pokemon, and is raised in battle the same way. The calculations used to determine the Fighter XP of a fusion are as follows:

Temporary fusions use the lower total of the trainer's TXP or the Pokemon's XP.

EXAMPLE: Joe (10,000 TXP) tempfuses with his Arbok (30,000 XP). The Arbok-fusion has 10,000 Fighter XP, and is level 21.

Permanent fusions add 1/3 of the Pokemon's XP as Fighting XP at the time of fusion. The Fighting XP total is used for all permanent fusions.

EXAMPLE 1: Joe (TXP irrelevant) permfuses with his Arbok (30,000 XP). 30,000 / 3 = 10,000. Joe gets 10,000 FXP added and is level 21.

EXAMPLE 2: Joe then permfuses with his Clefairy (20,000 XP). 20,000 / 3 = 6,666. Joe gets 6,666 FXP added for a total of 16,666. He is a level 25 Arbok-fusion and a level 27 Clefairy-fusion.

Hello, and welcome to the world of Pokemon! However, this isn't your average Pokemon world for here the sights of the games can be found alongside real world locations. Trainers can come from America, Europe or from Hoenn or Kanto. The RP itself takes place in the Kasei Region, which is west of Johto. Here, the phenomenon known as Pokemon Fusion is common and accepted.

==History of Kasei==

Our story takes place in a region of Japan known as Kasei, which is special in that it is one of the largest concentration of fusions--genetic hybrids of humans and Pokemon. It has become a cultural melting pot of many different languages, businesses and, of course, races--as it is one of the few places such fusions are culturally accepted. Taking place in the present day, its residents must deal with everyday problems such as racial tensions, politics, looking another work week in the eye--and above all, the Pokemon League.

The founding of Kasei as a haven for those of the fused nature started just around the time when World War 2 was taking place, when the machines of war ravaged across Europe and Asia. During this time Kasei faced the [[Team Rocket]] uprising, led by Giovanni. This conflict was one of the largest of it's kind for that area, and hinged heavily on support by fusions on either side. Eventually, Team Rocket was forced to surrender following their leader's assassination and the overall weakening of the group. Rebuilding the country and region was a slow process, with some areas today still bearing the scars and monuments of war.

Millions in tourism revenue turned its towns and villages into cities over the next few decades, cities emerging in their wake. Businesses sprang up and flocked to the region, along with giant corporations such as Silph .Co, specializing in research and development of Pokemon and related technologies. Despite the prosperity of the area, it is not without consequence--criminal groups and organized crime native to Japan are ever present, and there are rumblings of Team Rocket renewing itself through new upstarts. New government organizations are drafted to deal with the concentration of trainer criminals in the area, such as [[PALS]] but, like any new organization, who can say what they will change?

Pokemon Fusion is a MUCK--what does this mean? Well, it stands for multi-user chat kingdom, but that's not terribly important. There are many different styles and code bases of MU*, but they are all text games. Just imagine Zork (where grues came from) but interactive, and on the internet! Well, sorta.

What is important to remember is that Pokemon Fusion is centered mainly on roleplay; this means that well, think of an online chat or forum where people take turns posing or writing out posts--now imagine such online and when everyone's able to navigate from virtual room to virtual room--and you've got a good idea.

Pokemon Fusion is one such game which combines elements of the video games and anime series (along with original content of course) to create a colorful world in which one can be a trainer, fusion or a wide variety of concepts.

=Connecting to the game=

While it is possible to connect via raw telnet to the game, it is strongly advisable that you download a more suitable client to connect to the game with. The upside is such clients easily store each game's address and bookmark information such as player logins and passwords, which makes connecting and getting onto one push-button when properly setup. Think of it like a client and a front-end for a steam game all in one!

Our first group, the Primes are the 'gods' of legend of which stories are written. These are the True Legendaries, who use their immense power to govern their elemental domains, maintain the time/space dimensions, provide the sweetest of dreams or the worst of nightmares, grant grandiose of wishes, or even move continents. The nature of the Primes remains a mystery due to the fact that no documentation of an actual encounter exists, but it is believed that the Primes choose to stay out of human affairs. If you believe that you've come across a Prime somewhere on the road, you probably haven't. That, of course, isn't to say that trainers don't come across legendary pokemon in the their travels...

The second group, Betas, are the legendaries that trainers are most likely to come across during their journey. There are two very different theories as to why Betas exist in the first place, but one thing is certain: Betas only possess a mere fraction of their parent legendary's ability. One theory regarding Betas is that they are simply extensions of their Prime's power, acting as proxies to assist their Prime's role, but in a diminished capacity. Another, more widely-accepted theory is that Betas are simply a defensive mechanism, employed by Prime legends to distract would-be hunters from disturbing them, and potentially causing a global catastrophe by upsetting the natural balance of the world itself. The number of legendary-specific Betas in existence at any time is largely unknown, but researchers believe that it varies based on the whim of the Prime in question. This is the exact reason why a single trainer can be possession of multiple specimens from the same species.

'''Betas and their Primes''': Despite being separate physical entities, upon their 'birth,' Beta legendaries in the wild are created with a subconscious directive, leaving them with the faint urge to mimic their respective Prime's duty. (IE: A Beta Dialga being drawn towards minor temporal disturbances, or Tornadus' inclination to cause weather-related mayhem.) However, when a Beta meets and bonds with a trainer, or a fusion occurs, that programming is quickly overwritten by its own will, which explains why legendary-fusions aren't overly burdened by their Prime's compulsion.

'''Duos, Trios, and their Masters.''': There are many legendaries who are part of a larger group, be it the Eon Duo, the Creation Trio, the Lake Trio, or the Lunar Duo, to name a few. Betas are no different. It is unknown how the Primes manage to coordinate the act, but no one Beta of a legendary group is born alone as an entire group is created together, in the same instant. Members of a group share an intrinsic bond that never seems to dissipate. Additionally, unlike the Prime's compulsion, this connection persists even through fusion or trainer's bond. For example: for every Beta Latias, there is a Latios whom she regards as her brother, and the same applies to the other duos, such as the Lunar pair of Cresselia and its sibling-Beta Darkrai. In the case of Beta trios, the group is governed by a Beta of that specific trio's master. Because of this, it is theorized that there are exactly the same number of each groups' members in existence at any give time around Kasei.

==Are teams exclusive?==

No, there are a lot of ways to be the best, and many paths to self-improvement. The point is, the journey never ends. Carve your own path to the top and bring it on. You can only wear one uniform at a time, though, and we'll all be waiting for you to switch out. Remember, you can't run from a trainer battle, and that goes double from us.

==What do I have to do to join?==

First, you'll have to compile a list of your skills and weaknesses, and give a little bit of detail as to their origins and extents. Our GMs use weaknesses to fuel other team's RP against you, and your strengths to assign you plots against them. Different teams encourage different skills. We also pair people based on those skills to cover each other and share common interests. Second, you'll have to make a team, and be ready to fight in doubles battles, so you'll want to spend some time discussing roles and strategy with your teammates. When you're in uniform you can only use pokemon that represent your team. Such as fire types for Solar, water types for Lunar and so forth.

==Why Should I Join a Team?==

Each team comes with its own advantages, from private locations stocked with pokemon of your team's type, to providing housing and food, and earn boosted AP for participating in GM-run plots.

==Welcome to Pokemon Fusion Muck!==

Hello, and welcome to the world of Pokemon! However, this isn't your average Pokemon world for here the sights of the games can be found alongside real world locations. Trainers can come from America, Europe or from Hoenn or Kanto. The RP itself takes place in the Kasei Region, which is west of Johto. Here, the phenomenon known as Pokemon Fusion is common and accepted.

==History of Kasei==

Our story takes place in a region of Japan known as Kasei, which is special in that it is one of the largest concentration of fusions--genetic hybrids of humans and Pokemon. It has become a cultural melting pot of many different languages, businesses and, of course, races--as it is one of the few places such fusions are culturally accepted. Taking place in the present day, its residents must deal with everyday problems such as racial tensions, politics, looking another work week in the eye--and above all, the Pokemon League.

The founding of Kasei as a haven for those of the fused nature started just around the time when World War 2 was taking place, when the machines of war ravaged across Europe and Asia. During this time Kasei faced the [[Team Rocket]] uprising, led by Giovanni. This conflict was one of the largest of it's kind for that area, and hinged heavily on support by fusions on either side. Eventually, Team Rocket was forced to surrender following their leader's assassination and the overall weakening of the group. Rebuilding the country and region was a slow process, with some areas today still bearing the scars and monuments of war.

Millions in tourism revenue turned its towns and villages into cities over the next few decades, cities emerging in their wake. Businesses sprang up and flocked to the region, along with giant corporations such as Silph .Co, specializing in research and development of Pokemon and related technologies. Despite the prosperity of the area, it is not without consequence--criminal groups and organized crime native to Japan are ever present, and there are rumblings of Team Rocket renewing itself through new upstarts. New government organizations are drafted to deal with the concentration of trainer criminals in the area, such as [[PALS]] but, like any new organization, who can say what they will change?

=New to MU*s?=

Pokemon Fusion is a MUCK--what does this mean? Well, it stands for multi-user chat kingdom, but that's not terribly important. There are many different styles and code bases of MU*, but they are all text games. Just imagine Zork (where grues came from) but interactive, and on the internet! Well, sorta.

What is important to remember is that Pokemon Fusion is centered mainly on roleplay; this means that well, think of an online chat or forum where people take turns posing or writing out posts--now imagine such online and when everyone's able to navigate from virtual room to virtual room--and you've got a good idea.

Pokemon Fusion is one such game which combines elements of the video games and anime series (along with original content of course) to create a colorful world in which one can be a trainer, fusion or a wide variety of concepts.

=Connecting to the game=

While it is possible to connect via raw telnet to the game, it is strongly advisable that you download a more suitable client to connect to the game with. The upside is such clients easily store each game's address and bookmark information such as player logins and passwords, which makes connecting and getting onto one push-button when properly setup. Think of it like a client and a front-end for a steam game all in one!

No, there are a lot of ways to be the best, and many paths to self-improvement. The point is, the journey never ends. Carve your own path to the top and bring it on. You can only wear one uniform at a time, though, and we'll all be waiting for you to switch out. Remember, you can't run from a trainer battle, and that goes double from us.

First, you'll have to compile a list of your skills and weaknesses, and give a little bit of detail as to their origins and extents.
